Would a reasonable individual be able to determine what they need to do with simple instruction?

If it is slow you have to remember that it is going to take more time every single day for your employees to perform their tasks. You want them to be as fast and as efficient as they can. Evaluate the different options that are available. For example if you want to have access to customized reports, try them out.

Make sure the process for setting up the customized elements is very simple for you to perform. How long does it take for those reports to be completed? You never know when you may need them in a hurry to complete something within your business.

Ask yourself if the HR software is lacking anything when you explore it. Is there something that could make the process better for you? If so, then continue to look for HR software that is able to fulfill that need in addition to the other things you outlined. It can actuarially be fun to see for yourself what different HR systems have to offer.

Of course it is going to take some time to work with them and to narrow down your final choice. Never rush when it comes to choosing HR software or you will end up regretting your decision to invest in a particular one.
